The Sea Ranch, California
The Careys wanted to create a home in their ideal setting: the rugged Northern California coast. But that perfect setting, with its harsh winds, heavy winter storms, and salt air, would require careful planning to create a weather-resistant, energy efficient home that was also warm and harmonious with the surroundings. The resulting two-story home maximized the views and buffered a south-facing garden courtyard from the coastal winds. The entire interior décor was also designed with the clients, step by step, including the imaginative selection of fabrics and furniture to complete a cohesive, warm, and livable design.
